My Story

Kristi-Anne D. is a third year law student from Miami, Florida, pursuing her Juris Doctorate at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law with a Bachelor's degree in Law & Government from Florida Memorial University. She joined LK Taylor & Associates as an extern and has since become an integral part of the firm's transactional practice, working on recording agreements, producer agreements, distribution negotiations, catalogue sales and high stakes label negotiations.

Before law school, Kristi was recruited by Google’s IP legal department due to her demonstrated interest in intellectual property protection. With conviction and clarity, she made the daring decision to leave corporate life to pursue law school, determined to build a career as a business and entertainment attorney. While in law school, she has managed recording artists, lobbied Bills H.R. 9551, H.R. 1259, H.R. 8843, and H.R. 791 on creator rights before U.S. House of Representatives constituents as a student member of The Recording Academy as well as holding a position on the leadership board of The Beverly Hills Bar Association Young Lawyers Division as a Student Representative. The Beverly Hills Bar Association houses the largest entertainment law section of any Bar Association nationwide.

Kristi brings cultural fluency, creative instinct, and a firsthand understanding of the industry and the people who shape it.
